Love One Another Update
November 2020
Christine is a young mother of two, recently divorced, and hurting from the loss of her Catholic grandmother. We were able to pray with her, share the gospel and invite her into the loving community of our church. We continue to email regularly and she is learning about the love of Jesus.
This is one of many connections that have been made through LTCC’s Love One Another benevolence ministry and Ignite Hope Outreach!
We are excited to share with you how this ministry is growing and meeting needs!
First, as a reminder, the Love One Another ministry works with the following goals in mind:
First, our top priority, is to serve and love you, our church body so please let us know of any needs of which you are aware;
Second, we desire to encourage you, the body to reach out and love your neighbors so please read the sections below on how to do just that;
Third, we work to Ignite Hope by coordinating with our partner organizations to build relationships with our community members in need so join the Ignite Hope team for our next gathering (TBD)
What has the Love One Another team been up to?
Meeting financial needs (housing or utilities) for 4-6 people or families per month
Picking up and delivering 3-6 food boxes to a few local families weekly
Coordinating LTCC volunteers to meet needs of partner organizations
Leslie Peterson, Jim & Rayann Whitman, Mike & Cheryl Wilson – sort donations and put into packages for distribution to those in need for the Sumner Family Center.
Amy & Anna Sjoholm – put together over 200 craft bags to be given to kids at Prairie Ridge drive through Christmas party.
Rick & Kari Pompeo Family – decorated their truck, handed out candy bars and smiles at Prairie Ridge Trunk or Treat.
Polly & Damon DeLapp – pick up and deliver 80 lbs of hamburger from donor to Prairie Ridge Coalition.
Dave & Deb Lynes, Jason & Trista Sutherland – deliver donated table, chairs and hutch to Bridges of Love client, a previously homeless woman, Shelby, who now has an apartment. Also, delivered a laptop to her as she is now enrolled in school.
Loving our neighbors through our monthly Ignite Hope Outreach
9-12 LTCC volunteers have met monthly to learn how to share their story and the gospel!
Then they go visit those people LTCC has been able to help financially, pray for them and share the love of Jesus as much as possible.
We then follow up with those that show in interest to help further connect them to community as well as with Jesus.

Sponsor a Bridges of Love local family for Christmas –
You would be provided with a wish list from each child

~$50 per child plus a gift for each parent
Please pray for a family that has been living in the Sumner Motor Inn for a year and a half. They need someone (perhaps multiple people) to come alongside them to help them out of the situation they are in. The father is working but income is low. The mother stays at home, in the inn, with the 4 kids. They do not have a vehicle. They need a large vehicle, or someone to drive the mother and kids around to look for housing. They also need help with paperwork in order to obtain services. Could you meet this need?
