I Peter 3:15: “Always be prepared to give an answer (Greek: Apologia) to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.” In this class we will cover how to give an apologia for our faith, i.e. how to defend our faith against attacks from non-believers. THE PARABLES OF JESUS
Sundays | 9:00 - 10:20am | Nov. 2 - Dec 7 | Teacher: Brian Peterson | Second Quarter Class | All are welcome
This class offers an engaging exploration of the parables of Jesus through a balanced mix of instruction, group work, and individual study. Participants will learn what defines a parable and what distinguishes it from other forms of teaching, gaining insights into why Jesus used parables. Through guided discussions and personal reflection, learners will develop skills to interpret and understand parables more deeply, discovering the spiritual lessons Jesus intended. We aim to deepen our faith, enhance biblical literacy and put into practice the gospel. The only book you’ll need for this class is your Bible.
LIVING FAITH: A STUDY ON HEBREWS 11
Mondays | 7:00 - 8:30pm | Sep. 22 - Dec 8 | Teacher: Leeanne Needham | Women’s Zoom Class
Some of the hardest times to live by faith are when God places us on an unexpected path in life. It might be a life situation that is different than those experienced by friends or family members; or it might be a set of troubles that we had not planned to face. It might be singleness, childlessness, unemployment, disability, depression, homelessness, a rebellious child, an unhappy marriage, a chronic or life-threatening illness.
We might find it difficult to feel connected to family, friends, or members of our church. We might experience frightening feelings of spiritual dryness and isolation. We might even struggle with difficult (but important) questions about God and His work in our lives.
Using examples of faithful living (and the work of our ever-faithful God), this inductive study of Hebrews 11 encourages believers today to persevere with their eyes fixed on Christ no matter what their paths may hold. Book can be purchased through inpraiseministries.com

Plain and simple, life doesn't always turn out the way we imagined. Yet, we can respond in God-glorifying ways even when circumstances fall short of our desired hopes and expectations. With practical, biblical counsel from the Scriptures, we have the tools we need to put away sinful responses and be women who smile at the future (Proverbs 31:25). In reshaping how we think about disappointments, trials, and delays, we can grow in contentment, trust, and hope in the unexpected parts of life. In each chapter we'll look to the Scriptures for the life-transforming help only God can give. Book can be purchased from Amazon.

Intentional Discipleship
Our mission is to love God by helping people follow Jesus.
Through our Intentional Discipleship Studies, we help people follow Jesus by providing classes focused on
The BIBLE,
Core BELIEFS about God and mankind rooted in the Bible
or BEHAVIORS that align with Scripture and give glory to our King.
Our vision for these studies is analogous to the growth of a tree.
-
The crown of a tree contains its branches, leaves and fruit. One can easily look at a tree’s crown and determine its health. In the same way, when we have the right BELIEFS about God, ourselves, and others, rooted in the BIBLE, we will produce righteous BEHAVIORS (fruit) for the world to see and benefit from through our actions.
-
The tree trunk distributes water and nutrients from the roots to the rest of the tree. It protects the tree with its bark and provides support to the crown. In the same way, when our BELIEFS are rooted in the BIBLE, they protect us from destruction, and provide life giving support to our souls, leading to fruitful living.
-
Roots anchor the tree and absorb life giving nutrients from the soil. These elements are transported throughout the tree giving it life. It all starts in the roots, planted in the ground. In the same way, our lives must be rooted and grounded in the BIBLE, which is God's inspired and inerrant Word.
