"Today"
Psalm 118 verse 24 says: “this is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.“
What day is that? That is today. Look at what Hebrews 3:13 says: “But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called “today,” that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.”
So we’re called to encourage each other or exhort one another today. Hebrews 10:24, 25 talks a little bit about that encouragement as being together in the body of Christ: “24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the day drawing near.”
With that in mind, I want to remind you of some of the “todays” that we have planned coming up here at LTCC:
MAY 4TH - Our retiring missionary to Japan, Bob Reister is preaching.
MAY 11TH - I will be preaching in our next to the last segment of Nehemiah.
MAY 18TH - JUNE 8TH - I will be gone and Matt Moench will preach a series. Usually, you don’t get to preach a series unless you’re the Lead Pastor of a church. This is a great opportunity for us to hear Matt and for him to make some strides towards finishing his seminary degree.
JUNE 1ST & 8TH - I will be back and look forward to hearing Matt preach!
JUNE 15TH - The conclusion of our our Nehemiah series.
JUNE 22ND & JUNE 29TH - We’re planning messages out of Romans chapter 12.
JULY 6TH - We plan to install Pastor Andrew Middlekauff! We don’t know what his sermon material will be yet, but I will do a short charge to the congregation and Pastor Andrew, and then he will preach the message, with a reception to follow!
We say all this “Lord willing.” These are the “todays” if you will, on the upcoming schedule that we look forward to if God allows us to keep that schedule. Remember Proverbs 16:9, which says: “The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.”
Love in Christ,

FAITHFULNESS
This past year our life group studied the book of 1 Samuel. Throughout our study, one of the major principles that we learned was “Faithfulness.”
Throughout the book, we see God's hand at work, guiding important people that we studied such as Hannah, Samuel, Saul and David. Despite any shortcomings each of these individuals had, God remained faithful to each of them during the good times and bad. Regardless of the situation, God always had their best interest at hand. Today, God continues to work out His plan for His people.
This faithfulness has been displayed at Lake Tapps Community Church as well. We waited patiently for the right timing of when we would receive a new pastor. He has blessed us with Pastor Andrew Middlekauff. Also, during this season, we have seen our congregation grow with new members joining the church, and new families with children coming regularly.
When we are faithful to Him, He sees our faithfulness, and He richly blesses us.
