JUNEPALOOSA - Prepare Ye the Way!
June is off to a great start, with beautiful blue skies heralding the change of seasons from Spring to Summer. June will also be a busy month at LTCC as preparations continue for the arrival of a new season for our church family.
Nick Jacques, Luke Sutherland and the facilities team are completing an amazing effort to repair and update our parsonage.
Our Women’s Ministry joined the effort with the “Bless the Middlekauffs Pantry Shower” to provide a full pantry for the Middlekauffs. Leeanne reports that your response has been amazingly generous!
A team of men will travel to Bakersfield to help with packing, loading trucks, and driving them to LTCC. Thanks to Bob, John, John, Rhett, Ron and Wayne for this service!
Karen, Kim and our Hospitality Team are busy preparing for our celebration on June 22nd of the ministry of Pastor Bob and Ronda among us.
And the Middlekauffs will soon be here! After a couple of weeks to get settled, Pastor Andrew will be officially installed on July 6th with a welcome reception following the service.
All of these transition-related activities are added to our normally busy schedule, with play days in the park, candy factory tours, breakfasts, coffees, bible studies and more. What can you do to join-in, well… join in!
Three trucks need to be unloaded. (Currently planned for 6/13, pencil it in!)
Our grounds may need some sprucing up to prepare for celebrations (stay tuned).
Parties will require helping hands with setup, decorations and potluck (yay!).
Pray… this is a good time to redouble our prayers!
PRAY FOR:
Safe travels for our team and the Middlekauffs.
The people of Laurelglen Church; they are saying farewell to their beloved pastor!
The Middlekauffs as they work through this major transition in their lives.
Pastor Bob and Ronda, giving thanks for their ministry here and for the next ministry God is preparing for Bob.
Our LTCC family as we enter our own transition… for grace, mercy, patience, wisdom, and LOVE, because…
“By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
John 13:35
June is a busy month, to be sure, as we do ministry and as we prepare for July and a new chapter in LTCC life, as together, we’re Loving God by helping people follow Jesus!

With so many holidays in May and June, we decided to do a mini-series in Children’s Church entitled “Faith & Family”. Hebrews 11 gives us examples from God’s family in the Old Testament of mothers, fathers, siblings, grandparents, soldiers, and relatives who are praised by God because of their faith in the face of tremendous trials. Looking closely at these people we realize they are far from perfect. It is not surprising that the One whom they have faith IN comes to the forefront of each lesson. God shows up and reveals His power, His mercy and His love over and over again. And it gives the people great hope. Enough hope to act - to stay close to God, to trust in His promises and even to go against the grain. How much more should we be encouraged knowing that our faith brings the very Spirit of God to live within us?
Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. Hebrews 11:1
